Greenhouse is seeking an energetic, results-oriented new graduate to join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst with an Accounts Receivable focus. This is a unique cross-functional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in CPG and contribute to a rapidly growing company.Our ideal candidate has a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is curious to learn about all aspects of the business. While a background in accounting or finance is helpful, it is not required. We are looking for someone who loves numbers, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to get stuck in and learn.This role will support the accounts receivable function while contributing to financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare AR aging reports, collection forecasts, and bad debt summaries.
  • Analyze customer payment behaviour and identify trends to mitigate risk and improve performance.
  • Support month-end close by reconciling AR balances and resolving open items.


Dispute & Deduction Management

  • Investigate and resolve short payments, pricing disputes, promotional deductions, returns, and other payment discrepancies.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Trade teams to validate claims and ensure accurate resolution.
  • Track dispute resolution efforts and initiate recovery of invalid deductions.


Customer Account Management

  • Maintain accurate customer master data, including credit terms, contact information, and payment details.
  • Monitor credit limits and support credit risk assessments.


Data, Technology & Automation

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data and models.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
  • Support implementation of tools that improve financial reporting and analysis.
  • Manage and monitor EDI, including exception handling, issue resolution, and communication with customers and trading partners.


Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support financial compliance and internal controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through educational workshops and relevant publications.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Excel & Reporting: Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is an asset.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when preparing and reviewing financial information.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and working with financial systems, technology, and automation tools.
  • Attitude: A can-do attitude and a good sense of humour. Plant-based jokes encouraged!
  • Education: Completed bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. A background in accounting or finance is helpful but not required.
  • Previous CPG experience working with accounts receivable balances or trade spend is considered an asset but is not required.
  • CPA candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is eligible for the CPA Experience Verification Route.


Vacancy Status: Existing vacancy

Annual Compensation Range: $58,000-$70,000 CAD
