JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst (Embedded Banking) will support the financial, analytical, and reporting needs of the bank's expanding technology driven business lines, including Banking as a Service (BaaS) and stablecoin based payment rails. They blend forward looking financial modeling with disciplined balance sheets, liquidity, and capital management. The Financial Analyst evaluates new product economics, monitors reserve and safekeeping structures for stablecoin programs, and assists in ensuring the bank maintains strong financial resilience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Builds financial models to evaluate revenue, cost drivers, unit economics, and profitability for BaaS partnerships and stablecoin payment products.

  • Develops dashboards and reporting packages that track transaction volumes, fee income, partner performance, and operational KPIs.

  • Analyzes partner contracts, pricing structures, and scenario outcomes to support negotiations and strategic decisions.

  • Assesses financial, liquidity, and capital implications of new product features, reserve structures, and transaction flows.

  • Collaborates with product, operations, compliance, and technology teams to align financial assumptions with operational realities.

  • Monitors the composition, liquidity, and safekeeping of assets held in support of stablecoin reserves.

  • Reconciles reserves balances daily and ensure alignment with program requirements, partner agreements, and regulatory expectations.

  • Supports the design and oversight of reserve investment strategies within approved risk parameters.

  • Coordinates with custodians, safekeeping agents, and internal operations to ensure accurate reporting and secure asset management.

  • Identifies risks related to reserve movements, custody structures, and liquidity mismatches, and escalating issues as needed.

  • Drafts, updates, and maintains policies and procedures related to BaaS financial oversight, stablecoin reserve management, liquidity monitoring, and capital planning.

  • Documents model assumptions, methodologies, and control processes to support audit and regulatory reviews.

  • Contributes to governance frameworks that ensure transparency, consistency, and compliance across new and existing business lines.

  • Assists in establishing minimum capital and liquidity buffers tied to new product risks and growth trajectories.

  • Supports daily liquidity monitoring, including cash positions, funding flows, and short-term liquidity forecasts.

  • Assists in developing liquidity stress tests, early warning indicators, and contingency funding analyses.

  • Contribute to capital planning by modeling capital ratios, evaluating growth impacts, and recommending minimum capital buffers.

  • Performs capital stress testing, including scenario design, loss modeling, and capital adequacy assessments.

  • Monitors reserve levels (ALLL/CECL) and support ongoing reserve analytics, documentation, and reporting.

  • Prepares recurring and ad hoc financial reports for executive leadership, the board, and regulatory stakeholders.

  • Analyzes trends in revenue, expenses, balance sheet composition, and key performance indicators.

  • Supports budgeting and forecasting processes, including integration of new business line projections.

  • Ensures data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems and analytical models.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM) preferred.

  • 2 - 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, banking, fintech, or related fields.

  • Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.

  • Familiarity with liquidity management, capital ratios, and bank regulatory frameworks.

  • Experience with BaaS, payments, digital assets, or blockchain concepts preferred.

  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools; experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple issues and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
