POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as the main front desk attendant in the Financial Aid Office and assists with walk-ins and data entry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Greets and directs students and provides general information and assistance. Provides student-centered services via various platforms while maintaining a professional and congenial demeanor. Serves as official back up to the financial aid general email box and monitors the financial aid texting system. Organizes archiving system to manage and retrieve office documents upon request. Processes department mail timely. Assists with creating student files. Maintains office signage, ensuring all notices are current and valid. Determines disposition of incoming documents and forwards them to appropriate department. Processes purchase orders for the office and assists with travel arrangements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or educational equivalent

Previous work experience in office setting

Knowledge of Microsoft applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree

Prior experience with Banner and/or financial aid management software

Experience with organizational purchasing and travel

Experience working in higher education

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff and the general public. Effective time management and organizational skills. Strong customer service skills.
