Financial Advisor | Greater Boston Market

At M&T Bank, we believe meaningful relationships are the foundation of great financial outcomes. We are seeking a Financial Advisor to help clients across the Greater Boston market achieve their financial goals through advice-based investment and insurance solutions tailored to their unique needs.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to an established portfolio of mass affluent clients while also growing your book of business through referrals, networking, and strong internal partnerships. Working closely with Retail, Business Banking, Mortgage, and Wealth teams, you'll provide personalized recommendations designed to help clients build, preserve, and protect their wealth.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver advice-based investment and insurance solutions aligned to each client's goals, objectives, and best interests.

  • Build and deepen relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities through referrals and community engagement.

  • Conduct portfolio reviews and needs-based financial conversations to identify opportunities and recommend customized solutions.

  • Partner with Retail, Business Banking, Mortgage, and Wealth colleagues to provide a seamless client experience and comprehensive financial guidance.

  • Grow assets under management through effective relationship management, business development, and referral generation.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high-quality experience throughout the relationship lifecycle.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold M&T's risk management standards.

What You Bring

  • Experience providing investment and/or insurance solutions in a client-facing advisory environment.

  • Proven ability to build relationships, uncover client needs, and deliver personalized financial recommendations.

  • Strong business development, networking, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams while maintaining a client-first mindset.

  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 licenses required.

  • State Life/Variable Insurance License required.

  • CFP, CLU, ChFC, or related financial planning credentials preferred.
