Personal Financial & Administrative Manager - Private Family

Birmingham, MI $55K–$70K (25-30 hours/week, remote)

A private family in Birmingham is seeking a highly experienced, trustworthy Personal Financial & Administrative Manager for a long-term relationship. This role is approximately 70% financial/bookkeeping and 30% personal/administrative.


Schedule: Approximately 25–30 hours/week with a highly flexible, results-oriented schedule


Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with regular in-person meetings in Birmingham


Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal and household bookkeeping using QuickBooks

• Reconcile accounts and track bills, expenses, and financial obligations

• Maintain Excel spreadsheets, financial records, budgets, and reports

• Organize tax documentation and coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, financial advisers, and other professionals

• Manage household records, vendors, insurance, renewals, subscriptions, and select administrative matters

• Handle special financial and personal projects with discretion and follow-through

• Coordinate some travel plans


Required Qualifications

• Current Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification – mandatory

• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills – mandatory

• Significant professional bookkeeping, accounting, controller, or financial administration experience

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines without daily supervision

• Excellent communication skills and unquestionable discretion/confidentiality

• Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Birmingham, MI and be available for regular in-person meetings
