Primary Purpose & Value of the Department & Position

The Finance & Accounting department ensures the company's leadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regarding actual, forecasted and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options.

The Financial Analyst I is the central player in the reporting and analysis of financial results and working with the financial leadership team. In addition, the Financial Analyst I assists to translate business objectives into strategies, actions and targets applicable to the management and finance team that deliver short-term objectives (month to month) but also provide a realistic foundation to achieving longer-term objectives (a year or more ahead).This is a Full Time, Hybrid Role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities *

  • Ensure the leadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regarding actual, forecast, and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options.
  • Prepare financial evaluations, prepare and manage budgets, prepare business plans, report on performance to plan, communicate and educate about key business results, stewardship of assets and risk management activities, and submit non-plant capital expenditures
  • Manages product costing and inventory valuation for multiple plant sites
  • Provide impromptu financial analysis and detail in a very quick turn-around environment under intense pressure with multiple priorities

Education & Experience Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related area

  • 3 years of experience in an accounting role with emphasis in financial analysis role

  • Accounting degree

  • 1 year working with an ERP system

Preferred:

  • MBA degree

  • 3+ years of experience in a cost accounting role

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant role

  • Certified Public Accountant certification

  • Construction and Manufacturing operations experience

  • Experience with SAP
