Boone County Family Resources is a rapidly growing community-based agency dedicated to supporting Boone County residents with developmental disabilities and their families. Our mission is to help individuals THRIVE in our community, CONNECT with others, and ACHIEVE their personal goals.

We take pride in fostering a friendly, welcoming, and vibrant work environment. We are currently seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a full-time Finance Director.

The Finance Director reports directly to the Executive Director and directly assists on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs. This position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the Agency and three other related companies, ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Agency assets, and reporting accurate financial results. This position is also responsible for the oversight of the Agency's Property Maintenance and Property Management of two Low Income Housing Tax credit properties. This position has significant financial responsibility for which the position is held accountable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a financial-related field such as accounting, business administration, or finance from an accredited four-year college or university. A degree in accounting is preferable.
  • Have at least five years of demonstrated supervisory experience of multiple staff.
  • Have at least five years of financial and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations.
  • Have experience and knowledge of finance, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Have experience in automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Have knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Possess creative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Have experience in developing and administering a budget.
