About the Opportunity
Are you a meticulous and proactive accounting professional ready to make a significant impact on a company's financial health? We are seeking a vital member to join our Controller's organization, where you will be at the heart of our cash accounting operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring financial stability, supporting strategic decision-making, and upholding our commitment to regulatory compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in a high-volume environment, directly contributing to the timely and accurate reconciliation of critical cash accounts and shaping the financial landscape of a prominent organization.
What You'll Do
  • Perform various daily, monthly, and quarterly corporate-level cash accounting functions.
  • Prepare and process journal entries for cash transfers and write-offs.
  • Execute comprehensive reconciliations of general ledger cash and investment accounts against bank statements.
  • Implement and monitor controls to ensure that financial records are maintained in a compliant manner.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business partners, including operations and treasury teams, to ensure timely and accurate recording of business transactions and account reconciliation.
  • Produce accurate and timely management reports to support decision-making.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of Accounts Receivable General Ledger accounts.
  • Support billing teams by assisting with requests, including customer account maintenance, researching applied payments, and correcting deposits.
  • Complete the month-end process for Accounts Receivable as it relates to the general ledger, including month-end reclasses, calculating and posting the monthly allowance, and reporting aged items to various teams.
  • Process client refunds efficiently and accurately.

What You'll Bring
  • 3-5 years of related high-volume cash reconciliation experience.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with the capabilities of large-company enterprise reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate views in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactive, results-oriented operating style.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise financial systems.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools.
