We're looking for a motivated recent Accounting or Finance graduate to join our growing Finance team. This role offers hands-on experience across accounting, financial reporting, inventory, and business analytics while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams, this position helps ensure accurate financial records while gaining exposure to all aspects of corporate accounting.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform bank and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and management reporting.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, account analysis, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, sales tax, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance with accounting policies and applicable regulations.
  • Create standard and ad hoc reports and analyze financial data to support business decisions.
  • Utilize Fishbowl, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI to manage data, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Warehouse, Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve accounting issues and improve business processes.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn new software systems and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Exposure to ERP or accounting software (Fishbowl, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Experience or coursework with Salesforce or Power BI
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
