The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in downtown Vancouver is seeking an Associate Advisor to join a successful Advisory Team. You will deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Investment Advisor. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post-meeting work. Attend client meetings when required.
  • Provide proactive client service with a problem-resolution focus and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client account inquiries and remain accountable to follow-up, as required.
  • Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation, and client service plans.
  • Identify and execute opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, etc.
  • Trading and / or Portfolio Rebalancing
  • Support advisory team and client through the Wealth Management process. Help gather relevant information, coordinate activities with Wealth Management specialists, track progress and follow up.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO
  • Successful completion of the CIRE and the Retail Securities Exam
  • University degree
  • Advanced MC Excel skills
  • A self-directed individual with a growth and goals-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-have

  • 5 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly-developed client service skills

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
