In this role, you'll work closely with leaders across Operations, Sales, Fleet, Service, and Finance to provide meaningful insights that drive revenue growth, profitability, productivity, and return on capital.

What You'll Do
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
    • Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
    • Develop and maintain financial models related to revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and capital investments.
    • Assist in preparing annual operating plans for Rental Services and Heavy Rents.
    • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses related to growth initiatives, pricing strategies, fleet investments, and operational changes.
  • Business Performance Analysis
    • Analyze financial and operational performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results.
    • Identify key business drivers impacting revenue, utilization, labor productivity, margins, and profitability.
    • Evaluate trends across branches, districts, and business segments.
    • Deliver actionable recommendations that improve financial and operational performance.
  • Reporting & Business Intelligence
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and recurring management reports.
    • Monitor key metrics including:
      • Revenue
      • Gross Margin
      • EBITDA
      • Equipment Utilization
      • Revenue per FTE
      • Gross Margin per FTE
      • Fleet Productivity
      • Cost-to-Serve
    • Support monthly business reviews and executive reporting packages.
    • Help standardize reporting definitions and performance metrics across the organization.
  • Capital & Fleet Analytics
    • Analyze fleet investments, capital allocation decisions, and equipment disposition strategies.
    • Partner with Fleet and Operations leaders to evaluate utilization and return on investment.
    • Assist in developing return-on-invested-capital (ROIC) reporting and fleet productivity metrics.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of fleet growth, transfers, and capital deployment strategies.
  • Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
    • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Fleet, Service, and Central Operations teams to understand business drivers and support strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare executive presentations, business cases, and leadership summaries.
    • Improve reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Develop tools and templates that increase visibility into business performance and decision-making.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into business recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting operational or asset-intensive businesses.
  • Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience working with large datasets and business reporting tools.
