Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills help inspectors document findings and collaborate effectively with production teams. These skills are crucial to ensure products meet required specifications and maintain customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

What are common challenges faced by final quality control inspectors and how are they addressed?

Final Quality Control Inspectors often face challenges such as identifying subtle defects in products under tight deadlines and maintaining consistency across large production batches. To address these, inspectors use standardized checklists, precision measuring tools, and collaborate closely with production teams to ensure clear communication about quality standards. Continuous training and adherence to quality protocols also help inspectors stay updated on best practices and improve their accuracy, making it easier to uphold rigorous quality requirements.

We are looking for a full-time Quality Control Inspector to join us immediately.

This role is responsible for managing inbound quality control across product quality, logo integrity, purchase order quantities, and approval readiness for new inventory. The Quality Control Inspector will also audit picked and packed orders before shipment, support our ISO9001 quality management standards, and help improve order accuracy metrics across all warehouse operations.

Schedule, compensation, and physical requirements:

  • Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Overtime may be required during the fourth quarter based on business and shipping volume.
  • Pay range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet throughout the workday.

Your responsibilities:

  • Inspect inbound inventory to confirm product quality, logo accuracy, decoration integrity, packaging condition, and compliance with customer-approved specifications.
  • Verify purchase order quantities against received goods and escalate discrepancies quickly to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Manage quality control metrics for inbound goods, including pass/fail results, defect trends, quantity variances, rework needs, and supplier performance indicators.
  • Ensure Account Management and Merchandising teams are kept informed throughout the product approval process for new inventory.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to support operational visibility, corrective action, and continuous improvement.
  • Audit picked and packed orders prior to shipment to confirm item accuracy, quantity accuracy, packaging standards, documentation, and carrier readiness.
  • Record, communicate, and help resolve product quality deviations, including damaged goods, incorrect branding, missing items, overages, shortages, and customer-specific issues.
  • Support ISO9001 accreditation by following documented procedures, maintaining accurate records, participating in audits, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the quality management system.
  • Partner with warehouse, Account Management, Merchandising, and supplier teams to improve order accuracy, reduce repeat errors, and strengthen first-time-right performance.
  • Help optimize existing warehouse processes, inspection routines, and system workflows to improve efficiency, traceability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, safety expectations, handling instructions, and applicable regulatory standards.

Your profile:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, quality control, inventory control, inspection, receiving, or order fulfillment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify product defects, decoration issues, quantity discrepancies, and process errors.
  • Comfortable working with purchase orders, packing lists, inventory records, product samples, customer specifications, and quality documentation.
    • Includes familiarity with Excel and ERP / WMS Systems
  • Good understanding of warehouse workflows, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and carrier handoff.
  • Experience with ISO9001, AQL inspection standards, corrective action processes, or quality management systems is preferred.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning warehouse management, ERP, or inventory systems.
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with warehouse associates, Account Management, Merchandising, suppliers, and carrier partners.
  • Reliable, organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple inspection priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and perform hands-on inspection work throughout the workday in a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is a plus.

What we offer:

  • A collaborative, friendly working environment with a global company and a strong local team in St. Louis.
  • The opportunity to make a direct impact on product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Training and development opportunities tied to warehouse operations, quality processes, safety, and systems.
  • Career development opportunities in a growing organization.
  • Regular company events and team activities.
  • Support for wellbeing activities.
  • The opportunity to volunteer during working hours as part of our volunteering program.
