Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Location: Morgan Hill, CA

About the job

The Quality Control Inspector ensures incoming materials and finished products meet quality

standards through inspections, testing, and adherence to established quality procedures.

We're looking for someone who

● Has a high school diploma or equivalent

● Has 3+ years of hands-on experience in a contract manufacturing environment

● Possesses experience inspecting cable, harness, and electro-mechanical assemblies

● Understands ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems

● Has quality control experience, including cable inspection processes and IPC-620

standards

● Can read and interpret cable drawings, blueprints, and schematics

● Is comfortable using mechanical tools, digital voltmeters (DVM), calipers, micrometers, and

other inspection equipment

● Can apply QA/QC principles to achieve quality objectives

● Communicates effectively with team leads, supervisors, managers, and peers

● Works well in a collaborative manufacturing and quality environment

● Is mechanically inclined and enjoys hands-on work

● Can read, write, and speak English

● Is willing to learn inspection techniques, quality methodologies, and testing procedures

What you'll do

● Inspect incoming materials, parts, and components before production

● Perform in-process inspections and final quality control checks

● Inspect and test products according to work orders and special instructions

● Execute incoming quality control (IQC), in-line quality, and final inspection procedures

● Provide work order status updates to the QC Inspector Team Lead

● Complete required material documentation, including Return to Stock, MRB, and Scrap

forms

● Maintain accurate quality records and documentation

● Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment

● Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards

● Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve quality concerns

● Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

● Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical requirements

● Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

● Must be comfortable standing and sitting for extended periods

● Must be able to bend, reach, and use hands for repetitive gripping and handling


● Must have close vision for detailed inspections

● Must be able to safely perform inspection and testing tasks throughout the workday
