Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Cignys seeks detail oriented Quality Control Inspector. In this role you will be responsible for quality inspections of multiple parts during production sequence to ensure conformance of all preset specifications under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager and within AS9100 and ISO 9001 certification standards
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspection of parts before, during and after production using standardized methods.
  • Visually inspects or checks parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples.
  • Checks dimensions and finishes against blue print or job order specification.
  • Read basic blueprints and job orders for production specifications.
  • Adhere to and support the policies concerning Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Participate in continuous improvement and associated training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform random in process floor inspections, first piece approvals and daily inspections.
  • Perform Receiving Inspection as assigned.
  • Accept or reject product based on the requirements included in drawings, specifications, standards and other customer requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Familiar with the AS 9100 and ISO 9001
  • Minimum of 1 years as a Quality Inspector.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and gauging equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gage, optical Comparator
  • Basic drawing translation and reading skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
