What You’ll Do

Objective of Position

The QC Inspector is responsible for the identification, measurement and evaluation of quality and workmanship error data. They are expected to have excellent knowledge of internal quality specifications. Their detail orientation ensures that only quality products are released for shipment to our customers. Evaluation of their findings drives corrective actions to the manufacturing process.

Quality Control
  • Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Use various measuring and inspection tools to verify product specifications.
  • Perform various testing on random finished product samples.
  • Train new Quality Control Inspector team members.
  • Cooperate with others when asked to help or have questions.

Communication & Documentation
  • Communicate day-to-day developments to Assistant Manager or Quality Engineer while recommending solutions, suggestions for changes to conformance standards.
  • Communicate and record product defects.
  • Communicate knowledge of company quality standards and conformance criteria.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and requirements.
  • Record observations of quality processes.
  • Maintain quality related Work Instructions, standard operating procedures, check sheets, Forms, etc.

Working conditions:
  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0llbs to 50lbs.
  • Operate primarily in a manufacturing plant.
  • Use standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
  • Flexible schedule, occasional weekend work.
  • Due to forklifts in the plant, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surface. Floor may be come slippery during wet weather conditions.
  • The plant environment can be dusty and noisy. Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
  • Passing forklifts emit gas fumes and chemicals may contain hazardous materials and emit unpleasant odours.
