Some inspectors are paid a flat fee per inspection, while others may receive hourly wages or salaries with additional bonuses for completed inspections.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

Final inspection roles in specialized industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, or high-level manufacturing can sometimes offer salaries approaching or exceeding $500,000 annually, especially for senior inspectors with extensive experience, certifications, and leadership responsibilities. These positions often require advanced technical skills, safety training, and may involve working in high-risk environments or overseeing large teams. However, such high compensation is rare and typically reserved for executive-level or highly specialized roles within large organizations.
