Job description

Fleetzero is building battery-electric ships for commercial maritime. Hardware is on test rigs today. Production systems are shipping soon. What exists is footage of real technology doing real things in real environments. What doesn't exist yet is the person to turn that footage into content that makes ship owners pay attention and engineers feel proud of what they've built.
This role owns Fleetzero's visual identity end-to-end. You will personally edit, color grade, and deliver finished work - no handoff to a finishing house, no waiting on a freelancer. You will operate the camera, manage audio on location in our Houston facility and in the field, and run the content machine across YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
If your portfolio shows work you built from raw footage to final cut, with no one else touching the edit, we want to see it.
$75,000 - $120,000 a year
What You'll Own
Video Production & Post-Production
• Edit, color grade, and deliver finished video content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram,
and paid media.
• Produce social content, executive content, product walkarounds, field documentation,
and event recaps.
• Operate cameras, manage audio, and direct on-location shoots at our Houston facility
and in the field.
• Build and maintain a systematic asset library: raw footage, motion graphics, B-roll,
music, and brand templates.
Social Media & Content Management
• Own Fleetzero's social presence across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube:
strategy, scheduling, copy, and creative.
• Produce platform-native short-form content (YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn video, Reels) on
a consistent cadence.
• Track performance metrics and translate them into content decisions.
Brand & Creative services
• Design and produce supporting creative assets: event graphics, trade show materials,
merchandise, internal presentations, and ad creatives.
• Maintain brand consistency across all visual outputs in alignment with Fleetzero brand
guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors (printers, fabricators,
photographers) and manage project timelines end-to-end.
What We're Looking For
• A portfolio of personally edited and finished video work. We need to
see the work before we schedule a call.
• 3+ years of professional video editing experience with fluency in either Premiere Pro,
After Effects, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve.
• Hands-on experience with camera operation, lighting, and audio capture in industrial or
field environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage social channels with measurable growth or engagement
outcomes.
• Strong sense of design and typography; capable of producing polished graphics without
a separate designer.
• Project management instincts.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup where the brief changes and the gear is still
being unpacked.
Bonus Points
• Experience creating content in industrial, maritime, defense, or energy sectors.
• You have personally built a following, brand, or movement.
• Motion graphics capability (kinetic text, product animations, lower thirds).
• Experience managing paid social or YouTube ad creative.
• You have been able to bring creative work to market while also achieving business
targets.
• Ad agency or in-house creative team experience
