Extrusion Operator – Plastic Extrusion / Blown Film Extrusion
Location:Brampton and Etobicoke, ON
Pay: $21.00–$29.00 per hour (based on experience) + Shift Premiums + Overtime
Shift Options
Etobicoke:
Continental Rotating Shift
  • 2 weeks Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 2 weeks Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Brampton:
Choose one of the following permanent night shifts:
  • Weeknight Shift (Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend Night Shift (Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Are you an experienced Extrusion Operator with a background in Plastic Extrusion, Blown Film Extrusion, or Bubble Film Extrusion?
We are looking for skilled and motivated Plastic Extrusion Operators to join a leading global manufacturer of flexible packaging products in Brampton and Etobicoke, Ontario. If you have experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
As an Extrusion Operator, you will:
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust Plastic Extrusion, Blown Film Extrusion, and Bubble Film Extrusion equipment to meet production targets.
  • Perform complete machine setups, changeovers, and start-ups for production runs.
  • Load raw materials, resins, and additives into extrusion equipment.
  • Adjust machine parameters including temperature profiles, air rings, die settings, line speed, and gauge controls to achieve product specifications.
  • Monitor film quality, thickness, gauge, width, and appearance throughout production.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot extrusion process issues and machine malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate production records, downtime reports, material usage, and quality documentation.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, and Quality Assurance teams to optimize production efficiency.
  • Train and mentor machine assistants and new operators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S, GMP, and safety standards.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience operating Plastic Extrusion, Blown Film Extrusion, Bubble Film Extrusion, or Film Extrusion equipment.
  • Experience in blown film, bubble extrusion, or plastic extrusion is required.
  • Experience within a flexible packaging or plastics manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with machine setup, changeovers, calibration, and process adjustments.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Comfortable working rotating continental shifts.
