Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager for Thick Films (TF) to join Remtec team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and expanding client relationships, driving revenue growth related to high-power substrates and printed circuit boards (PCBs). These components are essential in various industries like electronics, AI, automotive, telecommunications, and electronic systems. The role involves strategic planning, customer engagement, market analysis, and overseeing development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company’s goals. We need an experienced, driven and self-motivated individual with experience in thick film, ceramics, high density intetfaces, and lite assembly in microelectronics space.

Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Develop strategic customer and business relationships in A&D, telecommunications, commercial, industrial, consumer, and medical markets, such as high-density interconnects, high density circuits, microelectronics, high-frequency PCBs, 2.5D and 3D.
  2. New processes development and introductions related to high power substrates and pcbs including lite assemblies.
  3. New multi-layer custom and complex electronic circuits, focused on PCTF (plated copper on thick films), ENIG and other efficient electro plating.
  4. Market research - Identify trends and market needs, develop and implement business strategies. Monitor competitors in the marketplace.
  5. Prototyping working with the Remtec team.
  6. RFQs, RFIs, Bids, proposals, and pricing.
  7. Sales and customer support.
  8. Assist in challenging engineering product and process issues in the operations
  9. Work with marketing communications team to generate marketing collaterals -datasheets, promotional literature, campaigns, presentations, …
  10. Writing datasheets, marketing material, technical articles, presentations, podcasts.
  11. Tracking and maintaining budgets.
  12. Expanding the company's profile and reach.
  13. This position will require ~25% travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Ten to fifteen years’ experience in microelectronics, pcb or related industry is required.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, and/or engineering needed.
  • Strong understanding of the microelectronics and related industry, market trends, and competitive landscape related to thick film, pcb, and/or assembly required
  • Ability to build and sustain client relationships
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

Skills

  • Experienced in printed board plating, etching, and/or assembly in microelectronics.
  • Communication, negotiation, and presentation skills necessary.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Epicor or other CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is candidate location based and can be remote, hybrid or work in office position.
