Job description

A thriving private optometry practice in Ohio is seeking a personable and skilled Optometrist to provide fill-in/per-diem coverage. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed professional who values meaningful patient interactions, is passionate about delivering high-quality vision care, and seeks to make a real impact in a close-knit, supportive environment.
What to Expect:

  • Flexible on days: Practice is open Monday through Friday, with a half day on Wednesday. They are open to any coverage days that can be provided.
  • See approximately 2 patients per hour; average 12-15 patients per day
  • Enjoy a collaborative team with three licensed opticians and an insurance/front desk specialist
  • State-of-the-art equipment, including Humphrey visual field, tono pen, and Kowa hand-held slit lamp (SL-14)
  • Lunch breaks of approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes each day
  • Warm, friendly patient base appreciative of personal, attentive care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough eye exams, including dilation as needed
  • Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • Conduct medical eye exams as required
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience with warmth and clear communication

Schedule hours:

  • Monday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Thursday 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • No weekends required
  • Open to any availability to cover days

  • Licensed Optometrist in Ohio with NPI number and liability insurance (assistance available if needed)
  • Preferably a few years of clinical experience

  • Outgoing, approachable, and able to make patients feel comfortable
