Bartender

Position Summary   - Bartender
Carry on the vision of enlightened hospitality, through meaningful & intentional interactions with our guests, while preparing & pouring cocktails, wine, and beer for our guests’ at the bar and in the dining room 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 
  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Mecha Noodle Bar: To transform taste and tradition to pride and progress through soulful interpretations of Southeast Asian comfort food in a fun, communal, high-energy space. 
  • Provide ALL Mecha guests a memorable experience based by cultivating unique interactions tailored to your guest’s needs & wants using the Mecha Steps of Service 
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Mecha’s standard & signature drink recipes. 
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, handle cash and make change if necessary. 
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol following state requirements. 
  • Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. 
  • Clean and wipe down bar top and chairs throughout the shift 
  • Balance cash receipts. 
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately after having received them into the POS system. 
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service 
  • Complete pre-open prep work to ensure readiness for the day 
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines for DOH 
  • Clean and close the bar using provided checklists 
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines while performing tasks and work safely in the front of the house, on stairs, and in kitchen area/coolers. 
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies. 
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the manager. 
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement. 
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow team members to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant. 
  • Fill-in for fellow teammates where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. 
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned 
 
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 
  • Previous restaurant experience required; previous  
  • Open availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required 
  • Excellent customer service to treat guests like family 
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
