Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP (PBFCM) has an immediate opening for an entry-level Litigation File Clerk in our Houston office.

PBFCM has been in business since 1970. We represent more than 2000 governmental entities in Texas school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts, and special districts. We have grown steadily every year. We currently have 15 offices across Texas with over 50 attorneys and more than 400 employees. Founded on the principles of honesty and ethical conduct our success is due to our refusal to deviate from these core values.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide clerical support to the legal assistants and attorneys as needed in the collaborative efforts to move cases forward
  • Maintain and process documents within document storage software
  • Prepare and e-file litigation documents with various courts
  • Prepare various outgoing letters
  • Correspond daily via email with legal assistants and attorneys
  • Maintain and update databases including e-cabinet system and firm's custom case management system
  • Meet daily deadlines related to the many aspects of the litigation process
  • Additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned

Experience Requirement:

  • As an entry level position no experience is required
  • Previous experience in a law office, with a general understanding of the litigation process is a plus

Education Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
