Position Title: WMS 6th Grade Math - Long Term Substitute

Dates: 7 hours per day, M-F, 8/18/26 through 10/30/2026 (45 school days and 7 professional development days)
Days/Hrs: Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day

Job Summary: To teach and educate students according to their educational needs and abilities. Plan, prepare, and deliver the lesson. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and behavior of students. Communicate, consult, and cooperate with other members of the school staff. The work assists the superintendent toward the accomplishment of the mission of the Woodland Public Schools of preparing students for career, life, and college so that they can become responsible and compassionate citizens. Work is performed under the direction of the principal.

Qualifications:
  • Possess a current Washington State teaching certificate with an Elementary/Middle Education or Math Endorsement.
  • Demonstrate the ability in classroom management.

  • Successful experience working with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of teaching techniques that are used to maximize student learning

  • Ability to work with an educational team, including directing the work of paraeducators
