Job Title: 5th Grade Math TeacherSchool Year: 2026-2027Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Math Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of upper elementary math curriculum standards, foster curiosity and critical thinking, and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that promote mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, tools, and technologies to meet diverse learning styles and student needs.Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior, academic performance, and classroom routines.Effectively manage classroom dynamics and provide proactive support to ensure student success.Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and informal assessments.Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with families.Use assessment data to adjust instruction and support continuous student growth.Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom activities.Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.Provide targeted, individualized support and intervention for students who need additional assistance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Education or a related field.Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in elementary or middle school mathematics.Previous teaching experience preferred, particularly at the upper elementary level.Strong classroom management and organizational skills.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Preferred QualitiesPassion for teaching mathematics and inspiring young learners.Ability to differentiate instruction and use data-driven practices.Willingness to collaborate as part of a team-oriented school culture. Additional Opportunity:Teachers in this role will have the opportunity to participate in the Middle School Math Collaboration Team, which focuses on strengthening instruction, aligning curriculum, and improving student outcomes in mathematics

Participation in this team includes a $2,000 stipend in recognition of the additional time and collaborative responsibilities.
