Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, load, and stack materials and finished goods within the beverage manufacturing warehouse. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished pallets between production lines, storage areas, and shipping docks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced in high-pace warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to and from production lines
  • Load and unload trailers, verifying product and quantities against shipping documents
  • Stack pallets neatly and safely in designated warehouse locations
  • Supply production lines with materials as needed to prevent downtime
  • Use RF scanners or inventory systems to track material movements
  • Assist in cycle counts and inventory accuracy audits
  • Properly tag and label all product per company procedures
  • Report discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Perform daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment issues
  • Follow safe lifting, stacking, and driving practices at all times
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free warehouse environment
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate material shortages, space constraints, or line needs promptly
  • Assist in warehouse housekeeping and organization efforts as needed
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting
  • Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Inventory Accuracy: Correct material movements and documentation
  • Forklift Safety Compliance: Zero incidents or violations
  • Line Support Efficiency: On-time delivery of materials to production
  • Shipping & Receiving Accuracy: Ensure outbound pallets are loaded correctly and inbound shipments are received, inspected, and documented accurately
  • Warehouse Organization: Neat, compliant, and accessible product staging

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 โ€“5 years of forklift or warehouse experience in manufacturing or logistics preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Safe and confident operation of forklifts and powered industrial equipment
  • Basic math and reading skills for inventory documentation
  • Familiarity with warehouse layout, FIFO, and product staging
  • Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold (including coolers at temperatures as low as 36ยฐF for full shifts), hot, or fast-paced production and warehouse environments
