Automation Personnel Services is looking to hire for a Shipping and Receiving position with a company based in Moody, Al. In this role, you will have the opportunity to …
Work for a food manufacturing company based in Moody, Alabama, USA. The company specializes in producing and packaging: spices and blends.
 
Pay Rate 
$17.00-18.50 per hour
Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 6am -2:30pm.
Shipping and Receiving Employee
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unless reasonable accommodation or approval is provided.
  • Must be able to follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily tasks while adhering to food safety standards
  2. Perform daily Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  3. Maintain a clean working environment
  4. Maintain “Culture of food safety”. Report on any food safety issues or possible ways to improve around management.
  5. Manage shipping, receiving, and storage of all incoming and outgoing Finished Goods and packaging.
  6. Load and unload trucks
  7. Inspect and log all trucks for compliance
  8. Check all inbound shipments for damage or signs of tampering. Report all abnormalities to management.
  9. Unload and load all trucks.
  10. Place received tags on incoming packaging materials.
  11. Place all incoming Finished Goods and Packaging material in warehouse, in proper place according to First in First Out (FIFO) rule
  12. Place all finished Goods from the main facility in proper places in the warehouse until they are ready for shipment. 
  13. Prepare finished products for shipping according to Bill of Lading (BoL)
  14. Palletize finished products and get the product ready for shipment
  15. Pull finished product with the correct lot codes, item numbers, and using “First in First Out” (FIFO)
  16. Ensure all products for shipping are correctly labeled, wrapped and all information matches the BoL before shipping
  17. Maintain warehouse by rotating stock, putting up product in correct place to avoid allergen cross-contact, and maintain safety of employees
  18. Maintain “Culture of Food Safety” throughout facility
  19. Report any food safety and/or food defense issues immediately to management
  20. Maintain SQF certified facility.
 
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, office, and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, and production equipment.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
