Scope of Position

Cascade Engineering (CE) has an opening for a Truck Driver that will be delivering within a 2 miles radius on the Grand Rapids plant campus of CE. It will be driving box truck a couple of days during the week. This position will be responsible for shipping, receiving, switching trailers and some production/handling support.

Location: Buursma Plant (4950 37th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)

Shift Hours: Monday and Thursday from 7am - 3pm AND Saturday and Sunday from 6am-6pm and the next weekend working from 10am - 10pm (rotating weekends)

Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $20.00 - 30.00/hour (plus $1.00 shift premium plus quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Responsible for utilizing all equipment, including forklift, and performing all tasks in a safe manner
  • Participates on cross-function teams
  • Maintains finished goods warehouse organization
  • Loads and stacks shipments per traffic schedule
  • Ensures accuracy of shipping request and pre-shipper records
  • Notifies schedulingof inventorylevels and discrepancies
  • Understands and practices basic FIFO - Inventory Rotation
  • UtilizesMODs - production management tool -for scheduling and inventory placement
