Job description

will provide short-term data management and reporting support to the Men of African Descent and Carcinoma of the Prostate (MADCaP) consortium. The primary objective of this work is to improve the organization, quality, completeness, and reporting readiness of participant data collected across multiple MADCaP R01 study instruments and source files.

• Reviewing and consolidating participant data from multiple study forms, surveys, and tracking spreadsheets into standardized reporting datasets.
• Reconciling participant identifiers across enrollment, questionnaire, clinical, pathology, biospecimen, treatment, and follow-up datasets to ensure accurate linkage of records.
• Extracting and organizing key data elements from multiple instruments, including participant demographics, clinical characteristics, pathology findings, biospecimen information, treatment history, quality of life measures, cognitive assessments, anthropometric measurements, and longitudinal follow-up outcomes.
• Updating standardized master tables that integrate information across multiple study forms and visits to support consortium reporting and analysis activities.
• Reviewing datasets to update missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or incomplete records and generating data quality reports for resolution by the project team.
• Supporting validation of pathology, follow-up, and clinical outcome data collected across participating study sites.
• Standardizing variable names, coding structures, and data formats across datasets to improve consistency and facilitate pooled analyses.
• Creating summary tables and reports describing participant enrollment, biospecimen collections, pathology findings, treatment outcomes, and follow-up status to report out at upcoming MADCaP meetings and share will collaborators.
Deliverables
• Consolidated reporting datasets integrating data across multiple MADCaP study instruments.
• Updated standardized participant-level master tables linking enrollment, clinical, pathology, biospecimen, treatment, and follow-up information.
• Data quality reports identifying missing, inconsistent, or incomplete records requiring review.
• Summary tables supporting grant reporting, consortium meetings, manuscript development, and research analyses.
• Documentation describing data consolidation methods, quality control procedures, and reporting workflows.
This work will support MADCaP consortium data management activities by improving the quality, consistency, accessibility, and reporting readiness of study data across the R01 project.
