Job description

Job Summary:
United States Cold Storage, Inc. operates a complex temperature-controlled logistics network in North America, and they are seeking an Infrastructure Field Technician. This role involves providing hands-on support for IT projects, including installation and maintenance of network equipment across various environments, with a significant amount of travel required.
Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site support for warehouse infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all equipment is properly installed, configured, and maintained to meet company standards.
• Work with vendors and contractors to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed.
• Provide regular updates to direct IT management on project progress.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 2+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on wiring and installation of wireless networks and camera systems.
• Familiarity and use of safety regulations and best practices when working at heights and operating a variety of industrial lifts (boom, scissor, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel 95% of the year within the U.S.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a refrigerator and freezer warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors.
Preferred:
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues.
• Experience with low-voltage, data, and fiber optic cable terminations and splicing.
• A+ or Network+ Certification.
• Experience with access control systems.
• Experience with wired and wireless network hardware.
