Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Field Service Manager to join our dynamic team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing our field service operations, ensuring the timely and efficient maintenance and repair of heavy equipment at various client sites. This role requires a strong technical background in heavy equipment, exceptional leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate field service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring of service technicians to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. Supervise and mentor a team of field service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for addressing any service-related issues, concerns, or inquiries.

Conduct regular site visits to assess equipment performance, identify maintenance needs, and provide technical guidance for complex repair projects. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary parts and equipment required for service assignments, while also managing inventory levels efficiently. Implement and enforce safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all field service technicians and clients.

Prepare and maintain detailed service reports, including equipment assessments, repair summaries, and recommendations for preventive maintenance strategies. Monitor service performance metrics, analyze data, and implement improvement strategies to enhance overall service quality and operational efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and the adoption of best practices in the heavy equipment servicing sector.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in managing field service operations for heavy equipment, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of various heavy equipment types, including but not limited to construction, earth-moving, and industrial machinery.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively manage a diverse team and build positive relationships with clients. In-depth understanding of safety protocols, industry regulations, and compliance standards related to heavy equipment maintenance and servicing. Proficient computer skills and experience with relevant software for managing service operations and generating reports.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various client sites as required. Day shift Monday - Friday Compensation: $85k - $110k/yearly plus bonus.
