Job Description

Position Summary
This position will provide technical service to Sealed Air customers and promote the use of Sealed Air Cryovac packaging materials and Sealed Air Cryovac equipment systems.  Supporting sales and marketing within the accounts by providing timely completion of both external and internal service call reporting along with detailed administrative documentation including, account performance reports, customer relation management and project updates.

This is a field-based position with a home office. When not traveling to customer sites, you'll work remotely from your home office managing your schedule, completing service documentation, and preparing for customer visits.

Indianapolis, IN serves as the central location for the territory, so the selected candidate should reside in the Indianapolis area or be willing to relocate.

We welcome applicants from outside Indianapolis and outside Indiana who are willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging equipment at customer facilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Install and commission packaging equipment
  • Train and support customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation
  • Respond to customer breakdowns and prioritize urgent service needs
  • Manage a regional customer territory independently
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular site visits
  • Identify product, service, and equipment upgrade opportunities
  • Support sales initiatives and new product introductions
  • Complete service reports and customer documentation accurately and on time
  • Adjust schedules and priorities as customer needs change
Qualifications
Technical Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Experience with packaging, manufacturing, food processing, or industrial equipment is preferred
Customer Skills
  • Professional and customer-friendly attitude
  • Comfortable training, supporting, and advising customers
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify upsell and growth opportunities within customer accounts

Salary Range

Total Target Compensation: $94,000 – $115,000 (Base Salary + Bonus Opportunities)

Additional earning potential through:
