Position Overview

If you thrive on troubleshooting, love working with advanced technology, and enjoy being the go-to expert for customers, this role is built for you. As a Mobile Field Service Engineer, youll take ownership of installing, repairing, and maintaining medical imaging equipmentincluding GE MRI scannerswhile supporting mobile imaging units across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair GE MRI imaging systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent service calls
  • Diagnose and repair computer systems, electronic components, and mechanical assemblies
  • Support mechanical and electrical upkeep of mobile imaging units, including trailers and lift gates
  • Execute break-fix repairs and routine maintenance tasks
  • Travel throughout Oregon and Washington, with occasional overnight trips

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with GE MRI medical imaging equipment
  • Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET strongly preferred
  • Prior experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment, ideally in a field service environment
  • Strong computer and networking knowledge; proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair complex systems
  • Skilled in using technical vocabulary and following both verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal guidance
  • Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, and the ability to work independently under pressure
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute effectively to team goals
  • Clear, professional communication skillsboth written and verbal
