Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Assigned to: Technical Department

Responsibilities:
• Perform equipment installations, commissioning, and system integration at customer sites
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Provide on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training
• Assist customers during production start-up and process optimization
• Support the Technical Department with repair and assembly tasks when not traveling
• Deliver clear technical documentation, reports, and service notes
• Collaborate with colleagues in Germany and within the U.S. team for complex issues
• Maintain strong customer communication and ensure professional representation of ViscoTec

Requirements:
Education requirements:
Associate degree or higher in a technical field or engineering. 2 to 4 years’ experience in mechatronics, automation, or electrical/mechanical service and commissioning preferred. Must have strong hands-on technical and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills

Work Schedule:
The position involves a standard 40-hour workweek. Regular travel up to 50% within North America is required for installations, commissioning, and customer support. When not traveling, the role includes in-house technical work and support.
