Position:
Fike is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur to support our distribution service partners across the Asia-Pacific region while also assisting our Middle East field service team on project-based site work when required. This role combines remote technical support with hands-on field service, requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, customer interaction, and 50% international travel.
The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource for our distribution network, helping ensure high-quality service delivery and supporting installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Fike systems.
Key responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Fike distribution service partners across the region.
  • Assist distributors with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system performance issues.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and servicing of Fike products and systems.
  • Deliver remote and on-site technical assistance as needed.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform field service work when required.
  • Provide field support for the Middle East service team on selected projects and service assignments.
  • Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and service recommendations.
  • Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer for distribution service partners.
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, and global service teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional service.

Who you are
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Gained already hands-on experience in field service, technical support, or industrial equipment servicing.
  • Experience supporting distributors or channel partners is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed (Middle East and regional APAC travel).
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Experience with industrial safety systems, fire suppression systems, explosion protection, or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Experience commissioning or servicing engineered systems in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with working in multinational service environments is beneficial.
