Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Field Service Coordinator to serve as the operational planning and logistics lead for field service projects from project award through mobilization and closeout. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are properly planned, staffed, equipped, scheduled, and positioned for successful execution while supporting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and project profitability. What You'll Do
As a Field Service Coordinator, you will manage the operational planning phase of field service projects, ensuring technicians, equipment, materials, vendors, and logistics are aligned for successful project execution. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Field Service Managers, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, and customers to support seamless project delivery while balancing business objectives, resource utilization, and customer commitments.
A Day in the Life
Your day may include coordinating technician schedules, securing equipment rentals, sourcing materials, resolving resource conflicts, reviewing project budgets, and communicating with customers regarding upcoming service activities. You'll collaborate across departments, monitor project readiness, track expenditures, and proactively address issues before they impact project execution. Through your planning and coordination efforts, you'll play a key role in ensuring field service projects are completed safely, efficiently, and successfully.
Specific Duties
  • Lead operational coordination of assigned field service projects from project award through mobilization and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules by evaluating customer requirements, technician availability, logistics, equipment needs, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor selection, material sourcing, rental equipment acquisition, and purchasing activities.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, vendor issues, and operational challenges while balancing customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Safety, Supply Chain, and Field Service teams.
  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, materials, and logistical requirements to ensure project readiness.
  • Maintain project schedules, work orders, purchase orders, and operational records within company systems.
  • Monitor project activity and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Review vendor invoices and project-related expenses to ensure accuracy and budget alignment.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and support project closeout activities.
  • Identify operational risks and implement solutions that improve efficiency, utilization, and project performance.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts affecting scheduling, coordination, logistics, and field service operations.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met while maximizing technician utilization and project profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience coordinating field service operations, industrial projects, construction activities, manufacturing support, logistics, or related operational environments.
  • Experience supporting industrial field service organizations or large equipment service operations preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, CRM platforms, and enterprise business systems preferred.
