Job description

The Sampling Inspector is responsible for executing and verifying mineral sampling processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of data across mining operations. The role directly supports quality control, loss prevention, and commercial validation of mineral outputs.

Reporting To
  • Senior Quality Control Manager / Site Inspection Lead
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field sampling of ores, concentrates, and raw materials as per industry standards
  • Ensure proper sample collection, preparation, labeling, and chain-of-custody compliance
  • Monitor and audit sampling procedures to minimize loss and contamination risks
  • Coordinate with laboratory teams for testing and analysis validation
  • Prepare accurate inspection and sampling reports for operational and commercial use
  • Verify compliance with international standards (ISO, ASTM) and company protocols
Education & Qualification
  • Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related technical discipline
Experience
  • 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in mining and mineral sampling operations
  • Prior experience in international projects (Africa or South America preferred)
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of sampling techniques and QA/QC procedures
  • Familiarity with mineral testing processes and lab coordination
  • Understanding of inspection standards and reporting systems
  • Basic data recording and documentation skills
Languages
  • English (mandatory)
  • Spanish (preferred for Peru operations)
