We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to support major construction projects in Rocky Hill, CT, and surrounding areas.Position OverviewAs a Senior Construction Inspector, you will lead daily field inspection activities, verify that work meets contract plans and specifications, and maintain accurate project documentation. You'll coordinate with the Resident Engineer, contractors, testing teams, and stakeholders to support safe work zones, quality construction, and on-time delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee daily field inspections of transportation infrastructure projects.Ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and contract documents.Serve as the senior field representative and liaison between contractors, engineers, and client agencies.Document daily construction activities, quantities, labor, equipment, and progress using digital reporting tools.Track and verify pay quantities and assist with progress payment reviews.Review material certifications, test results, and submittals prior to installation.Inspect traffic control and erosion control measures for compliance with approved plans and regulations.Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.Assist with change orders, field modifications, and as-built documentation.Lead and mentor junior inspection staff as required.Attend construction meetings and provide technical field input.Support project closeout activities, including final inspections and punch lists.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least four (4) years of field inspection experience; orCMIT Level 4, NICET Level 3, or a trade license, plus at least six (6) years of general construction experience and four (4) years of field inspection experienceNETTCP Concrete Technician certificationNETTCP Paving Inspector certificationACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 certificationKnowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and safety regulationsAbility to perform complex quantity and engineering computationsAbility to read and interpret plans and specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including report writingAbility to work independently and collaborativelyValid driver's license with the ability to travel to regional project sitesPreferred QualificationsEIT/PE preferred.Rail, bridge, or complex transportation infrastructure experience.Working knowledge of work-zone traffic control and staged construction on high-volume roadways.Proficiency with digital inspection reporting, quantity tracking, and photo documentation.Experience with CTDOT projects or CTDOT Standard Specifications.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 per yearMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysPerformance-Based BonusesProfessional Development & Licensing SupportEqual Opportunity EmployerGarg is an Equal Opportunity Employer: A/A, EOE, M/F, D/V.Final candidates are required to undergo a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
