What You'll Do:

This role is responsible for overseeing daily railcar repair operations while leading a skilled workforce and ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

On any given day, you will:

  • Lead site operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Conduct daily site walks to monitor work progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance
  • Drive performance against key metrics including turnaround time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage staffing through recruitment, scheduling, training, and workforce planning
  • Facilitate daily team huddles (toolbox talks) to align on safety and production goals
  • Ensure accurate and timely repair tracking, reporting, and customer updates
  • Monitor and report KPIs including productivity, turnaround, and cost metrics
  • Participate in and support safety and quality audits
  • Oversee billing accuracy and timely completion
  • Support employee development, onboarding, and training initiatives
  • Lead and reinforce continuous improvement and visual management practices

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
