Job description

The HVAC Sales & Department Manager is responsible for driving HVAC sales revenue while overseeing the daily performance of the HVAC team. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate HVAC solutions, preparing estimates, and closing sales to maintain a consistent pipeline of profitable work for the department.

The HVAC Sales & Department Manager also provides leadership and oversight to the HVAC team, ensuring high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and efficient coordination of projects. This position works closely with the administrative team to ensure smooth scheduling, communication, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Meet with customers to evaluate HVAC needs and recommend appropriate equipment, upgrades, or services.
  • Prepare and present estimates for HVAC system replacements, upgrades, and related services.
  • Follow up on proposals and customer inquiries to convert opportunities into closed sales.
  • Promote maintenance and service agreements to support long-term customer relationships.
  • Develop sales opportunities through existing customers, technician referrals, and service calls.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of upcoming work to support technician productivity and department revenue goals.


HVAC Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HVAC team, including technicians and department administrative support.
  • Support technicians with technical questions and job-related challenges when needed.
  • Review completed work to ensure quality standards, safety requirements, and company expectations are met.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve service issues in a professional and timely manner.
    Foster a collaborative, productive work environment that supports team performance and accountability.

Department Oversight

  • Monitor department workflow to ensure technicians have consistent and productive work schedules.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to coordinate scheduling and project timelines.
  • Review job performance, productivity, and department results to support profitability goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, service quality, and overall department performance.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers as needed regarding equipment, product support, and warranty issues.

Success in this role will be measured by:

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC sales, estimating, service leadership, or a related field.
