Job description

National Fuel is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to lead front-line field teams in our Distribution Operations department at the Erie Service Center. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on leader who is committed to Safety, Quality, Leadership, and Service while supporting reliable natural gas operations for customers and communities in Northwest Pennsylvania. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching and performance oversight for hourly construction and field service employees
  • Oversee construction, maintenance, and operational activities associates with the natural gas distribution system
  • Plan, schedule, and inspect the field work
  • Regular contact with customers to resolve gas service issues and to ensure appropriate customer service levels
  • Conduct daily responsibilities while taking an active role in safety
  • Coordination of daily emergency response logistics

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's Degree with concentrations in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management and supervisory/field experience
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask daily responsibilities
  • Comfortable interacting with others and communicating with supervisors, customers, and field personnel
  • Demonstrated supervisory capability and the ability to quickly solve problems
  • Flexibility to cover rotating emergency assignments
  • To support timely emergency response and strong service to our customers, applicants should live within a 20-mile/30-minute radius of our Erie Service Center, 225 Wayne Street, Erie, PA 16507, or be willing to relocate within a reasonable timeframe.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary range for this position is $87,000 - $98,000 with an approximate 18% increase in base salary after one year of successful training.
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
