Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Operations Manager.
This role is located at our Waukesha, WI site.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The Operations Manager will manage total plant operations in assigned areas and schedules to ensure the most effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and other company resources. They will ensure timely delivery of shipments that meet cost and quality standards. The Manager will plan and coordinate manufacturing department and guide customer service, and maintenance schedules to effectively meet customer requirements.
In this role you will:
  • Be responsible for daily operational performance indicators. Take appropriate actions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, cost, and productivity goals are met. Manage the "Tier review" process to track and understand key operational metrics (leading and lagging) and develop strategies and action plans to improve operational performance.
  • Be responsible for creating and executing the profit plan for assigned product line, including labor and resource planning, managing material and support costs, and future forecast to deliver upon financial commitments.
  • Be responsible for analysis and presentation of operational performance metrics and action plans to both Eaton senior leadership and customers. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger.
  • Develop and implement effective safety, health and environmental programs for the facility, champion a Safety Culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering employees and ensure environmental health and safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
  • Provide leadership in commitment in strategic use of Eaton Business System practices, personally leading the use and documentation of MESH, CIF, EQS, PROLaunch, and Tier processes with focus on performance of the entire product line.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, or business from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years' experience in a manufacturing environment developing and leading strategic business initiatives and projects to improve productivity, quality, inventory, and/or financial targets
  • Two (2) years prior management/supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience, ideally in an environment of 125 direct report minimum
  • Fabrication and/or coils and cores experience from an Eaton Plant
  • Experience working in an Engineered to Order environment
  • Experience with machining, assembly, fabrication operations
  • Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement
  • ISO 9001 familiarity
  • SAP, Excel proficiency
