Position Description
A Yard Associate is an hourly, non-exempt position. They work as physical laborers at our corporate location, performing a wide variety of duties in support of our field operations.
Key Duties
  • General cleaning and sweeping.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Loading and unloading / unpacking of shipment deliveries.
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Eliminate possible safety hazards.
  • Stacking lumber.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Assist other craft workers, including carpenters and operating engineers with fabrication and framing.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Benefits / Compensation
Pay starts at $18 per hour, more based on experience. Health, Dental, and Vision insurance is available after 60 days of employment with all premiums paid by Anlaan Corporation. Retirement contributions are made annually based upon company's success in the previous year.
Position Requirements
General.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, Skills, and Experience.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, or you must be working towards your diploma or GED.
Must be organized and able to understand work directions while communicating effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate fabrication, equipment maintenance, and other vital skills.
Clean driving record is required along with access to dependable transportation.
Physical Demands.
The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Construction Craft Laborers to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
  • Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity to hand-carry generators, lumber and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Maintain constant alertness to the multiple activities on the job-site, including other employees, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
  • Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Some night or weekend work may be required.

Work Environment.
  • This is a team environment and it is important that you are able to work well in a group setting.
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions.
  • Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, commonly found in construction.
  • Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found in road construction or near equipment, such as, grease, diesel fuel, gasoline, and asphalt.
  • Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
