As a Field Reimbursement Manager in Market Access, you'll be the reimbursement and access expert for our field team and customers-turning payer challenges into solutions. You will identify access barriers and develop tailored support strategies alongside the field team, contributing to patients' smoother access to therapy.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate Your Expertise
  • Build and demonstrate deep expertise in diabetes patient access dynamics, remaining current on payer trends, coverage policies, competitive products and evolving reimbursement landscapes.
  • Monitor and anticipate shifts in product coverage, payer behavior, and marketplace conditions to proactively guide account strategy and recommend forward-looking patient access solutions

Identify Access Barriers and Opportunities
  • Continuously seeking to uncover barriers in patient access and opportunities for process improvement
  • Use available data analytics resources to inform strategies and solutions
  • Lead and support key internal initiatives by partnering with Market Access leadership to align holistic strategy, prioritize opportunities, and ensure coordinated execution across teams.

Own Patient Access Solutions
  • Use a consultative, data insights-driven approach to proactively recommend tailored solutions to enhance patient access
  • Develop, refine, and simplify compelling patient access narratives and educational content, ensuring their customization for targeted endocrinology and primary care clinics, health systems or other and care settings
  • Deliver clear, concise training to field teams and provider offices on reimbursement processes, workflows, and best practices to strengthen their access capabilities
  • Partner closely with the field and market access teams to recommend and support the implementation of patient access solutions, enabling more efficient workflows including assistance with PA processes, denial management, appeals, and enrollment in appropriate affordability programs to enhance customer experience.

Collaboration for Impact
  • Collaborate with the field teams, coordinating on account targeting, customer engagement plans, and follow-up actions
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with the entire office (HCPs, administrative staff, etc.), positioning yourself as a trusted partner in navigating reimbursement and access challenges
  • Partner with the field teams (Territory Managers, District Sales Managers, Clinical Services Managers, Payer Account Teams, Customer Care/Advocacy, ASPN and Inside Sales) to resolve patient access challenges
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to continually improve processes, foster a culture of shared success, optimizing patient pull through strategies and supporting organizational priorities through effective teamwork

Required Skills and Competencies
  • Deep understanding of reimbursement, payer processes, coding/billing
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • Demonstrated skill educating in a professional setting (both colleagues and providers)
  • Team-oriented with proven ability to work in a collaborative setting.

Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or health-related subject
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement or patient access
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned area. This position requires regular business travel within a set geographic region.
  • Overnight travel and amount of air travel varies by territory size.
  • Ability to lift, carry and transport 30 lbs, literature

Preferred
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD, MPH)
  • Knowledge of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors
  • Prior FRM, reimbursement or patient access experience for diabetes.
