Job description

DramaBox is seeking Creative Executives to help shape the next generation of breakout serialized drama series for global audiences.

This role works closely with Development Executives, Story Leads, writers, and production teams to identify strong commercial concepts, refine serialized storytelling, and support a rapidly expanding slate of mobile-first scripted content.

The ideal candidate already understands the creative mechanics behind successful vertical drama or serialized mobile storytelling: emotionally driven hooks, strong escalation, fast pacing, retention-focused cliffhangers, and compelling character dynamics that keep audiences engaged episode after episode. This is not an entry-level development role for candidates newly exploring the format.

Candidates with direct experience in vertical drama, serialized audio fiction, adaptation, romance publishing, web fiction, fast-turnaround digital storytelling, or other high-volume scripted formats are strongly preferred.

About DramaBox

DramaBox is a global leader in serialized mobile entertainment, producing high-volume scripted content for audiences around the world. With production hubs across Los Angeles, New York, and Asia, DramaBox is rapidly expanding in the United States as serialized mobile storytelling becomes one of the fastest-growing formats in entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Provide clear, actionable creative feedback on story structure, pacing, emotional escalation, character dynamics, and episodic retention.

โ€ข Evaluate pitches, scripts, adaptations, and IP submissions to identify strong development opportunities and commercially viable story engines.

โ€ข Collaborate closely with Development Executives, Story Leads, writers, and production teams to shape serialized projects from concept through active development.

โ€ข Help identify concepts with breakout potential across genres including romance, fantasy, thriller, melodrama, and supernatural storytelling.

โ€ข Track audience trends, genre performance, and emerging storytelling formats across vertical drama, audio fiction, web fiction, and digital platforms.

โ€ข Support multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, high-volume development environment.

โ€ข Evaluate adaptation and localization opportunities for U.S. audiences.

Qualifications

โ€ข 3+ years of experience in vertical drama, serialized digital storytelling, audio fiction, television development, publishing, or related scripted content environments.

โ€ข Direct experience working on vertical drama or other high-volume serialized storytelling formats is strongly preferred.

โ€ข Strong commercial storytelling instincts and understanding of audience engagement in serialized content.

โ€ข Experience developing, writing, overseeing, or supporting commercially successful scripted projects is strongly preferred.

โ€ข Strong instincts for emotionally driven genre storytelling and audience-facing hooks.

โ€ข Ability to provide thoughtful creative direction while balancing executional speed and production realities.

โ€ข Comfortable operating in fast-paced creative environments with multiple concurrent priorities.

โ€ข Experience with adaptation, localization, web novels, romance publishing, internationally sourced IP, or emerging creative technologies is a plus.

Why Join Us

โ€ข Join one of the fastest-growing companies in serialized mobile entertainment during a major period of U.S. expansion.

โ€ข Work alongside experienced development, production, and creative teams across the U.S. and Asia on a rapidly growing slate of scripted series.

โ€ข Help shape commercially driven stories built for massive international audiences and rapid audience engagement.

โ€ข Build alongside a team experimenting at the intersection of mobile storytelling, genre entertainment, audience analytics, and scalable production.
