This role supports the production of water intake screens by preparing and lining molds using fiberglass materials and pneumatic spray equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate fiberglass spray guns and pneumatic spray equipment to apply fiberglass insulation into molds according to specifications.
  • Prepare molds and work surfaces for fiberglass application, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup before spraying.
  • Mix catalysts and other required materials accurately to achieve correct fiberglass consistency and curing properties.
  • Spray fiberglass to create lined moldings, ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards.
  • Fill moldings with fiberglass materials, cover and encapsulate the fiberglass, and ensure proper layering and thickness.
  • Perform sanding of finished parts to achieve smooth surfaces and prepare them for final finishing.
  • Carry out minor painting and touch-ups on fiberglass components as needed to meet appearance and durability requirements.
  • Inspect completed parts for defects, inconsistencies, or imperfections and make necessary corrections.
  • Use auto body repair techniques when applicable to refine, repair, or rework fiberglass components.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling fiberglass, catalysts, and spray equipment.
  • Maintain spray guns, tools, and equipment in clean and good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and support the expansion to additional shifts.
  • Adhere to manufacturing instructions, work orders, and quality standards throughout the production process.
Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
  • Ability to work effectively on different shifts as production expands.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting production goals and deadlines.
Why Work Here?

Join a stable manufacturing operation that offers comprehensive benefits, including 401(k) participation and the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses. You will be part of a growing team where your technical skills are valued and where consistent work, long-term stability, and opportunities for expanded responsibilities and shift options are available.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility dedicated to building water intake screens, working in a separate building from the rest of the operation.
