Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized OSP/ISP Project Supervisor to oversee the execution of telecom infrastructure installations within a large-scale data center environment. This role is critical to the successful delivery of complex fiber optic systems and requires a deep understanding of both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) construction practices.

The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising crews, managing day-to-day field activities, ensuring work is performed to specification, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all on-site OSP/ISP telecom installation activities for a large-scale data center project.

• Supervise the installation and management of (but not limited to):

o Innerduct, Maxcell, and fiber in conduit systems.

o Duct plugs, pigtails, splicing cans, bulkheads, and 4U fiber distribution panels.

o Fiber terminations, splicing, and testing.

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.

• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor field crews and subcontractors to meet project milestones.

• Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure quality standards and best practices are upheld.

• Maintain detailed daily field reports including manpower, equipment, work completed, and potential issues.

• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and data center safety standards.

• Serve as the on-site point of contact between field operations, project management, and the client.

• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise in the field.

• Support commissioning efforts and coordinate with testing personnel to ensure successful handoffs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecom construction with a focus on OSP/ISP infrastructure; data center experience preferred.

• Proven field leadership experience in supervising telecom installation projects.

• In-depth knowledge of fiber optic cable installation, splicing, termination, and testing.

• Strong understanding of industry standards including TIA/EIA, BICSI, and NECA/NFPA.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and fiber routing plans.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality control.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-security environments with strict access controls.

• OSHA 30 and relevant safety certifications are preferred.
