The Undersea and Electronics Systems (UES) Department in Portsmouth, RI is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in analog, digital, mixed signal design as well as software development skills including embedded software and GUI tool development. The desired candidate has a current Secret clearance, is highly technical, and able to work with minimal oversight as well as the ability to manage projects.

What You Will Do:
  • Technical design experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, fiber optics, FPGAs, and Software Design, including embedded software and GUI design. Some travel to sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required.
  • Experience working to program requirements and schedules to define project goals, scope, and deliverables. Monitor project progress, identify risks in sufficient time to implement mitigation strategies, and ensure the delivery of products meet performance requirements. Close management of design completion while simultaneously balancing resulting performance with the ability to meet the customer's critical schedule requirements.
  • Support regular reviews of program status including tracking and review by both Engineering and Program Leadership. Act as the primary point of contact for project updates, ensuring clear communication with Engineering and Program leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of hardware engineering capabilities to ensure successful technical execution.
  • Desire to support cost estimating, management, and technical status for the execution of the capital project.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, Fiber optics.
  • Experience in signal processing using tools such as Matlab.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
