Fiber Technician

Location: Richmond, VA

Overview

We are hiring Fiber Technicians to support large-scale data center projects in the Richmond area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have hands-on experience working with fiber optics, structured cabling, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, construction, or related trade environments.

Previous data center experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-focused, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, and install fiber optic cable.
  • Assist with fiber terminations and testing activities.
  • Label, organize, and document cabling installations.
  • Read basic prints and installation drawings.
  • Install cable pathways, trays, and support systems.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow all site safety requirements and procedures.
  • Work alongside project teams to complete installations on schedule.
  • Support commissioning and deployment activities within data center environments.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with fiber optics, telecommunications, structured cabling, low voltage, construction, electrical work, or a related trade.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
