What you'll do all day: Install, operate, and maintain LOCAITS instrumentation. Support the LOCAITS lead engineer in the design, installation, production and deployment of LOCAITS GPS/IMU kits on various aerial and ground vehicles platforms. Support both local and TDY test events involving LOCAITS data collection on integrated aviation/weapons systems.

As part of LOCAITS test support, install and operate range equipment (camera's, intercom, video monitors, fiber and ethernet cables). You will love this job if you: Are a self-starter and require little oversight to complete given tasks. Enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

Enjoy multitasking. Minimum requirements for this position: 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: h. Instrumentation - Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Must be willing to work outdoors up to 70% of the time regardless of weather conditions, to include hot/humid conditions, cold conditions, heights, and around ammunition and explosives. Must be able to come to work early, stay late, and work in shifts as testing schedule dictates. Must be willing to work paid overtime hours and travel at least 30% of the year.

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be both mechanically as well as electrically inclined. Possess basic computer skills, to include the ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and the ability to prepare informal test reports.

Must work well with others, have a strong work ethic, be a motivated self-starter, be well organized, and be on time to work. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants) Desired skills and experience for this position: Active Secret Security Clearance preferred

Prefer seven years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization or three years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and four years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area. Prefer both mechanical and electrical experience in the testing of military weapon systems. Prefer experience in operation of target vehicles for test operations.
