Position Summary:

The Director of Patient Financial Services is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of enterprise patient accounting functions across hospital and professional billing operations. This includes oversight of billing, payment posting, accounts receivable management, denial resolution, and collections for institutional and professional claims across hospital services and affiliated medical group practices. The Director drives financial performance through data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and the development of high-performing revenue cycle teams. This role partners closely with Revenue Cycle leadership, clinical departments, and payer organizations to optimize reimbursement, reduce denials, accelerate cash collections, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent required. Master's Degree preferred.

 

Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services, or related field.

 

Licensure: CHFP or FHFMA certification preferred.
